WasteMate – Smart Solar Waste Bins

WasteMate, developed by the Dutch manufacturer Procomat B.V., represents one of the most advanced solutions for smart waste management.
Powered entirely by solar energy, its built-in compaction system allows up to eight times more waste storage capacity compared to standard bins.
By using the WasteMate network and the CleanCityManager web portal, the emptying process is optimised, vehicle movements and CO₂ emissions are reduced, and overall collection efficiency increases by up to 85 %.

The smart system enables remote monitoring, lock and unlock control, fill-level tracking, and automatic e-mail alerts, while the robust steel construction and keyless access system prevent vandalism and unauthorised opening.
